So I spent my evening watching Harry Potter. ABC Family had a marathon with sneak peaks of the new moving coming out. Which Rose and I are going to see on Saturday if anyone in the NYC area wants to come.
Anywho, it was a relaxing weekend. But I realized it's been years since I haven't had any plans or committments on weekends. Wanting to see someone or going to a musuem or something is fun, but not the same thing. I don't know what to do with myself because I've never had vast amounts of free time. For the past 4 years, when I've had free time, it was a rare occurance, so I cherished it. Now I have 2 full days of it...just takes some getting used to.
Saturday I met Natalie in Central Park for a picnic lunch, then joined her and some of her friends for a college party on the lower east side (NYU). I am mere months older than most of the people who were there, but for some reason, I felt so much older than that. Everyone was talking about studying abroad and classes and doing stupid things (like getting into a fist fight over beer pong). I really wanted someone to talk to me about getting a job, finding an apartment, living on a budget, etc. Things that are more relevant to my life, instead of me recalling the night in Sevilla two of my classmates swam across the river drunk. It was enjoyable, don't get me wrong, I'm just realizing I'm moving onto a different stage in my life.
Today, I spent most of the morning, or what was left of it after I woke up, lounging around and watching TV. First time I watched sportscenter since i moved to the city! Read in the park for a while, and then went food shopping. I need to stop foodshopping on Sundays...Food Emporium was crazyyyyy busy.
Now getting ready for week 2. yay!
PS-i thought i saw my boss on the subway last night...it might have been him. awkward.
